Since 1969, SHAR has served thousands of people by providing specialized services to men, women, and women with children, the employed and the unemployed, the homeless, and clients with co-occurring disorders.  SHAR has done a stellar job in fulfilling its mission of helping “…clients regardless of their ability to pay”.  Now, SHAR is at a critical crossroad of its own.

As we proudly approach our 40th Anniversary, SHAR is challenged to continue serving clients and their families who have ever increasing needs and trying to do so with severely reduced funding at the city, county, state and federal levels.  SHAR endeavors to sustain its service mission – this labor of love by partnering with you.  While there may be other organizations with similar needs, SHAR is at the crossroads where its door may close for lack of funding.  That is why we need you to make SHAR a priority in your giving plan.

We believe that you possess the compassion and willingness, as well as the resources to help.

You’re asking yourself “what are they thinking – a campaign for money in this economy?”  It benefits all of us to keep the big picture in mind.  Donating to the SHAR FOUNDATION means making a commitment to a bright future for many men, women, children and their families who struggle to conquer the disease of addiction and other social problems.

The bottom line is this:  SHAR NEEDS HELP AND WE NEED HELP NOW.  By getting out your check book, and sending a check to the SHAR FOUNDAION you can make a difference. You may have family, friends, or business colleagues who need to beef up their contributions for tax purposes. By getting them to do it now, they’ll get to help a valuable community service organization AND satisfy their tax deductions.  With your help, our goals are attainable.

Remember; please make all checks payable to:
